Butuan ~ Destinations

One of the prime destinations in and around Butuan is Lake Mainit Resort. The place is a host to a variety of water activities like swimming, wind surfing, boat riding, and diving.

Lake Mainit is the fourth largest lake in the Philippines , having a surface area of 173.4 square kilometers. The lake is also the deepest lake in the country with maximum depth reaching 223 meters.

The lake can be reached by a 40 minute smooth car drive via a well paved highway to Kitcharao and Jabonga.
